ESIS Announces Acquisition of Majority Share of ProClaim America

Expands Offerings of Its Healthcare Professional Liability Claims Servicing Platform

PHILADELPHIA, September 28, 2010 – ESIS, Inc. (ESIS®), a risk management services company and member of the ACE Group, today announced that it has acquired a majority share of the stock of ProClaim America, a national professional liability services company that has been providing claims and risk management services to the healthcare industry for more than a decade. This move will enable ESIS to combine the resources of its existing Medical, Professional and Product Liability Claims Consulting Unit, with ProClaims’ specialized capabilities, to create a new business unit -- ESIS ProClaim^SM. In addition, Sam Terzich has been appointed as President of this new unit.

ESIS ProClaim will provide a comprehensive suite of claims and consulting services offered to healthcare providers, professionals, manufacturers and their insurers. In addition, ESIS ProClaim will continue to help clients successfully manage their healthcare professional liability exposures with an expanded range of services including claim handling for professional liability exposures for medical malpractice, senior care liability, and lawyers’ liability, along with employment practices, directors and officers and product liability.

With more than 27 years of extensive insurance and claims industry experience, Mr. Terzich joined ESIS in 2008, as Senior Vice President, to lead the ESIS Medical, Professional and Product Liability Claims Consulting Unit. He joined ESIS from Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc., where he held the position of Executive Vice President, Liability Claims, responsible for the overall operation of the Liability Division with specific emphasis on healthcare professional liability, Errors & Omissions programs, product liability and general liability.
